Bunty with David entice us back to Volcano Lagoon with a latin-swung electroton rhythm, beautifully embellished with Bunty’s own lyrical style, while Alphabets Heaven impressesa typically dexterous, sub-heavy, broken-beat, brassy bounce onto Ai, Que Calor!.
Ani Kcam whips up the palpable desert energy of Magic Sand, twisting and distorting into a relentless, percussive alien swarmer, before zillagramwiches anaesthetises Gazelle Vs Gazelle into an intensely woozy, tightly wound, late-night street beat.
Proprio shifts One Leg into a deep dubby cave, a wailing saxophonic collage, sparse voxand echoing percussion obey the synth-bass groove, until DJ Eggs Legs raises the spirits, revealing 100 000 Islands as an extended percussive thumper, hot electronic flourishes and electric licks invite the dance.
Finally two unique performances; King Lagoon’s Flying Swordfish & Friends - Levitation Improvisation [Rodrigo Kerr (Various Sounds), Don Benjamin (Sax), Pete Piskov (Flute), Iain Paxon (Synth)] a free floating, spiritual exotica piece with aromas of psychedelic jazz.
Then closing the release with a piece by zillagramwiches & mariolenard, propelling us into a weightless otherworld orbit, a panoramic space walk of epic proportions, incorporating and reinterpreting the interludes from The Golden Lagoon LP.

Proprio brings a stuttering post-monsoon of a remix to Amin, loaded with pressure-dropping atmospherics and
glistening synths, saturating the jewel sharp original, it fies with a mutant 2-step shuffe and transports a snapping
outernational swing.
---
The heaving analogue synth intimacy of Limbic System is transmitted into an unabashed foor banger,
Alphabets Heaven excites with a latent garage bounce and ratcheting percussion, its warping propeller bassline
and massive refrains are a call to move.
---
The doom-laden Infernal Machine is hacked and rewired by Silk's wizardry; spellbound and tamed, laced with
dazzling arpegiations, semiconducting and re-processing into a bright, beat-less high defnition synthesised display.
---
Glancing back to the halcyon days, Electric Ape builds an epic structure around that bassline, circling chimes set
the rhythm for the frantic percussive techno-riffng beatwork and an impending thump that cuts through the digisymphonic
strings.
---
Striking Columbo with a disorientating blow, Atomico's semi-conscious version distresses the groove, veering
back and forth, that heavy rhythm yields under wrought metallic distortion, sinewy beats and a sweetly rousing
guitar refrain.
---
As the original is obscured and suppressed, Inwards builds an intense horizon-dominating haze; swaying,
hypnotising, lulling... until the ambient drama is seared & paced with low-end feeding analogue bass commands.

Various Artists:
E.I.E. E.P.1.1
Euphony In Electronics / One Point One (KIN-005)
Electric Ape
Opening with the uneasy heart-beating toll of Theme from The Infernal Machine, rising up with an inescapable stomp-march, its gloriously cold analogue bite might soundtrack a Zombi attack on the outskirts of Detroit.
...
Inwards
Tentatively, Limbic System follows. Rebalancing to ambient calm with half-glanced shimmers and softly pulsing neuro-transmissions, the atmosphere breathes and lulls hypnotically, clicking, popping and geiger-counter ticking from within.
...
Alphabets Heaven
The intensity is ratcheted up with Amin, a quick-witted liquid beat that modulates, shifts and snaps, with a knowing nod, yet a fresh tenacity. Spacious, sharp, percussive; this circling groove deserves a jittering dancefloor.
...
Atomico
Re-doubling the energetic leap with this almost-lost production from 99', the taut electronic funk-beat of Forever brings an otherworldly depth, ghostly atmospherics and hot-footed drums serenade the divine closing quarter' molten synth-line.
...
Scaramanga Silk
Condensing into electrically charged cloud cover, the tropical ambience of Velvet Raindrops weighs heavy. The sultry electronic climate swells and swirls, threatening to explode, still the rich humidity reigns supreme.
...
Proprio
Finally, we stumble into the drowsy, drunken, distorted synth-groove of Columbo. Off-balance, world-worn, the excavated crooked beat rocks back and forth, strewn with end-of-night murmurs, yet crucially breaking into thumping coherence.
E.I.E.1.1 received support from National, International and Specialist shows including BBC Radio 3's Late Junction courtesy of Nick Luscombe & Verity Sharp, BBC6 Music courtesy of Gideon Coe, Pilote via Train 45, Lost Idol on Morning Glory, Chris Wave on Seventh Wave, Spirit Of Gravity on Resonance Extra and on rotation via Danish curated radio station, The Lake.

The fourth release from Kin-Aesthetic Recordings, featuring 7 luminescent reinterpretations of Kin;Aesthetic's First Impression E.P...
A spectrum spanning burst of remixes, Brighton's rapidly heating electronics scene is represented with varying shades of crisp analogue beat electronics from a trio of emerging producers, Electric Ape, Inwards, and Proprio, while the droned atmospheric textures come from cult ambient specialist, Brighton's revered Listening Mirror.
Weighing in from further afield, the esteemed and longstanding Pilote brings his finely honed downbeat craftsmanship to bear while quicker-stepping London pressure comes from a pair of shadowy ascending figures, touting two distinct sharp electronic grooves, Clas Tuuth and Scaramanga Silk.
Tracks from the EP received plays on BBC6 Music from Stuart Maconie, Don Letts and Gideon Coe as well as attention from specialist shows on XFM, NTS, Radio Reverb and Frome FM.

Kin;Aesthetic / Scaramanga Silk - Dark Energy EP
The third release, a split effort of excitable electronics from label founder Kin;Aesthetic alongside Scaramanga Silk.
Our third release presents Dark Energy, a split effort of excitable electronics from the ephemeral London producer Scaramanga Silk, alongside label curator Kin;Aesthetic.
Producing an original track each as well as a reciprocal remix of the others, with four tracks in total, the Dark Energy EP explores Sci-Fi futurism taking in aspects of Techno, Electro, 2-Step and Bass.
1. Kin;Aesthetic - Killer Joule 04:35
Kin;Aesthetic opens the ‘Dark Energy’ EP with the spring-loaded Killer Joule, a rough-edged, calorific floor shaker.
The endlessly jittery, Franco-filtered, hyperactive homage is propelled with a raucous energy and naïve electro-pop vigour. Drawing on ‘Homework’ era Daft Punk as a key influence, this little rocket aims to revisit the classic French sound with renewed spark.
2. Kin;Aesthetic - Killer Joule (Scaramanga Silk's Remix from the Three City Triangle) 03:20
Scaramanga Silk's take of Killer Joule is a considered re-imagining that expands his previous outings. The result is a deconstructed, techno-checking re-take.
Arresting the original and re-engineering with industrially refined mechanised beats, Silk builds his own motoring warehouse thriller. Metal-worked rhythms and grinding bass rub against moody growls and
harp-like sparkles, all conspicuously gathered somewhere between London, Detroit and Berlin.
This techno-fusion culminates in a Tronik House meets Teebs encounter, where rave bass joins glittering melodica.
3. Scaramanga Silk - Odyssey of the Burnt Out Star 04:26
Scaramanga Silk's own offering is a glassy, cold-fission, synth-strung hybrid.
Odyssey Of The Burnt Out Star unfolds with impending menace, 2-stepping beats fidget and cut through ominous glacial synth layers, ghostly gas pocket swells and deep-set bassline eruptions.
If Burial and Com Truise remixed the Bladerunner soundtrack, it might just sound like this....
4. Scaramanga Silk - Odyssey of the Burnt Out Star (Kin;Aesthetic's Neutron Star Remix) 07:24
Kin;Aesthetic's reciprocal remix takes a soaring new trajectory, burning and transforming with energetic bursts, it turns the
original elements towards an epic fusion, embracing the 2-step essence and morphing into a shifting, shimmering, shuffling,
heat-treated blaze, all fuelled by the Odyssey Of The Burnt Out Star.
A colossal reworking which hints at classic Detroit records (in the vein of Carl Craig and Underground Resistance), but with a fresh rhythmic take that launches it into 2014 and beyond.
Produced by Kin;Aesthetic & Scaramanga Silk respectively.
Tracks 2, 3 & 4 mastered by Kev at Berry St. Studio, London.
The EP picked up airplay on BBC6 music from Nemone, with Scaramanga Silk's remix getting a spin on her Electric Ladyland show.

1. Internal Mechanisms 05:59
2. Swathes 04:06
3. Hyper-Ventilate 04:59
4. Clutch Control 03:48
Released: 08 April 2013.
1&2 Mastered by Kev at Berry Street Studio, London.
3&4 Mastered by Kin;Aesthetic at The Scaffold, Brighton.
Beginning with the heart-beaten distant rumble of Internal Mechanisms, the pulsing groove and transfixing melody grow alongside electrical bleeps, whirs and pops, before jumpstarting to life with a cascade of machine-like synth sparks.
The rising tidal unease of Swathes follows; looming layers of sinister synth pull you beneath the claustrophobic haze, broken only by a disorientated pattern of calming thumps, lighthouse ticks and distress flare snares.
On the flip, we're confronted by the heavily arpeggiated hip-hop urgency of Hyper-Ventilate, a breathing, heaving groove that expands from slight anxiety to full-blown emergency. Rolling drums and warping percussion join forces with increasingly intense poly-arpeggiations, building and fusing to a steamrolling head.
Finally, we explode into the closing quarter with the brightly-lit, jagged compute-pop of Clutch Control. Brittle synth-lines tussle to solicit the clapped-out RnB groove, searing through the clatter with climbing euphoria before collapsing with nowhere left to go.
Produced by Stephen Jarvis between 2004-2013.
